How To Video Chat Or Call On Snapchat

Snapchat is among the chatting apps that supports video calling. Aside from that, it permits you to send videos snaps to someone or for adding to your story. To carry it a step further Snapchat also has a feature to deliver video notes. These video messages are useful when your buddy is not available for a video call at a certain point in time. Inside this guide, we will allow you to know how you can readily use video chat or call on Snapchat out of Android or iPhone.

Note: The steps and screenshots used here are from the iPhone app but Android users will not confront any issue while following them as there’s barely any difference.

Open the Snapchat app and go to the chat display by tapping on the chat icon at the bottom left.

Tap on the desired person’s chat with that which you want to video call.

From the chat screen, tap on the video icon to put in a video call.

After the call is answered you can use lenses. To use facial filters while on a video call you can tap on your video thumbnail in the bottom center and you are going to get the options to use different filters. It’s possible to switch filters by swiping or right during the video call.

To disconnect the video call only tap on the video icon and then come from the chat.

As I mentioned previously, you may even send video messages. For sending or posting usual video snaps follow this guide.

To ship video note follow the steps below.

Few users know about these video messages since they are somewhat hidden.

Video notes or messages are like animated GIFs and are recorded from your phone’s camera. Therefore, you can record GIF of yourself or environment. Here is how.

The first two steps are same which we did for video call above.

Once you’re on the chat display, long press on the video icon instead of merely tapping on it.

The video message will begin recording and you will see a little round thumbnail which will show whatever you have focused on the front camera.

Release the video button once your message is done. A maximum of up to ten seconds is allowed in a single video message.

If something goes wrong whilst recording the video then you can cancel or delete it by dragging and dropping the video notice to X icon.

Likewise, it is possible to also send an audio message by long pressing on the sound call option (phone icon).

We hope that the information in this tutorial enable you to make a video call or deliver video messages/notes on Snapchat. If you are facing any problems then let us know in the comments.
